All of the dermal fillers used by Alison are long lasting, non permanent, non animal, low allergenic made from sterile hyaluronic gel. Restylane, Juvederm, Teosyal.

The treatment takes only minutes and the effects last for 6 - 18 months depending on which area or filler is used. (Alison has trained in Master classes for fillers and will need to assess which product will be appropriate and longest lasting).

Hyaluronic acid is found naturally throughout our bodies: in our skin, bones, joints, and eyes. It acts as a lubricant and moisturiser due to its ability to attract and store water and so the effects last for months, making the treated area moisturised and re-hydrated.

Are the effects immediate?

Yes. Really deep folds may still leave a feint line but this will reduce over time

Does it hurt?

Most treatments are carried out without anaesthetics but as it is an injection, there maybe some discomfort or pain. A local anaesthetic cream is used to make the treatment as comfortable as possible. For treatments near the mouth, such as lip treatments, I can numb the area with an injection which is similar to a dental anaesthetic or use a filler which contains aneasthetic.

Are there side effects?

The most common side effects are related to the fact that you have had injections in the area being treated, - slight redness and mild swelling and bruising. Allergy is rare.

Most people can return to their normal daily life immediately after the treatment. However, your practitioner will long lasting, n the possible side effects during the initial consultation.
